We Believe

God

That there is one, and only one, living and true God. He is eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (John 17:3; Matthew 28:19)

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is God’s Son, born of a virgin as both God and man, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death, was buried, and had bodily resurrection, ascended to heaven at the right hand of the Father, and will in the future personally return in power and glory. (Colossians 2:9; Isaiah 7:14; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Revelation 19)

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the divine helper who comes to live inside every believer at the moment of salvation as an assistant, counselor and instructor and His work is to reveal Christ, convict of sin, lead to repentance, guide believers, comfort, strengthen, and sanctify the soul. (Acts 1:8; Romans 8:15-16; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:13-14)

Bible

The entire Bible is the verbally inspired, inerrant Word of God; that it has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter; that it reveals the principles by which God will judge us. The Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

People

Every person is created in the image of God, but willingly sinned and fell from that holy and happy state. As a result, all people are now sinners, not by constraint but choice and in need of forgiveness of sin. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:10-11, 23)

Salvation

The only way of salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift through repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ. Every person who truly is saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ and will spend eternity in heaven, while those who die in their sins will spend eternity in hell. (John 14:6; Ephesians 2:8,9; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9)

Church

The Church is both universal and local. The Universal Church means all born again believers of all denominations. The local church is a local body of baptized believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head who gather for worship and ministry and is financially supported by the free will offerings of its membership. (Matthew 16:18; 18:17; Ephesians 5:25; Philippians 3:6; Colossians 1:18; 1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 9:6-7)

Baptism & Lord’s Supper

The two ordinances of the local church are Believer’s Baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 8:36-38; Romans 6:4; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
